I AM PILOT.COM is a global pilot career platform operated and managed by SMART FLIGHT Inc. — a Japan-based aviation company building the infrastructure that connects licensed pilots with airlines and operators worldwide.
Our founder Kazuki ‘Randy’ Taniguchi previously established FLIGHT TIME Inc., where he launched multiple projects across aviation education and international career placement. His work has been recognized by industry partners, educational institutions, and aviation operators across Canada, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
We have facilitated pilot training, matching, and placement across multiple countries and regions. I AM PILOT.COM is the platform through which that network is now open to pilots and operators around the world.

Nobody noticed. Nobody spoke up. Nobody raised their hand.
The aviation industry has operated on a silent assumption for decades: Someone else will fix it.
Flight schools produce pilots. Airlines hire pilots. And the gap between the two — hundreds of hours, years of time, an industry’s worth of broken dreams — was left to no one.
I spent years inside that gap. As a candidate who couldn’t get through the door. As a pilot who earned his license alone, overseas, only to return and find the pathway didn’t exist. As a businessman who built something worth $13M and realized none of it solved the real problem.
So I asked the question nobody was asking:
Who builds the infrastructure between training and employment?
The answer, for decades, was nobody.
“Someone else will fix it.” That belief has quietly sustained one of the most critical failures in modern aviation.
And yet — nobody did.
Not because the problem was invisible. Not because the solution was impossible.
Because it required a rare combination: the patience to watch from below the surface, and the conviction to rise at exactly the right moment.
